When I started my photography journey five years ago, there wasn’t much out there for someone like me. No local places to learn, no shops where I could check out fancy new gear, and I had no idea studio spaces could even be rented! And when I did find a studio, the times I needed were always booked—total bummer.

So, I made do with YouTube and Facebook groups. But deep down, I felt Amarillo deserved more. Our creative community needed a place to learn, connect, and grow.

When I got to the point where I wanted my own studio, I was overwhelmed. What do I need? OMG, it costs how much? What lights should I get? How do you even use those things? Then one day, I saw a post in a Facebook group that said something like, “Look how pretty this is. What if we all just pitched in and shared a studio?” And that’s when the idea hit me—why not make that a reality? Let’s create a space where everyone shares the studio. Instead of settling for what’s in the budget, let’s grow together, get the best, and give everyone a voice in what comes next.

I wanted to create a space where photographers—whether seasoned pros or just starting out—could thrive. With that in mind, we designed three studio spaces to maximize flexibility and creativity. We offer in-person and online classes so everyone has the opportunity to grow, no matter where they’re starting from.

Studios is more than just a space—it’s a community. It’s where experts can teach, meetups can happen, and connections can flourish. From our forums and memberships to beautifully designed pop-up spaces and flexible rentals, we’ve created something that’s as dynamic as the creatives who use it.

The possibilities for what Studios can become are endless, but for now, we’re just proud to bring something this special to Amarillo.
